This lampshade is woven by artisan families from Michoacán who work with fibers such as tule (bulrush) and chuspata, aquatic plants obtained from the lakes of the region. The bulrush is harvested, sun-dried, and re-moistened before weaving to regain flexibility. Each piece is carefully handcrafted over a metal frame, reflecting a craft passed down from generation to generation.
